Medium: heliogravure (after the Rembrandt etching). This impression on Arches laid paper was printed in 1880 for Philip Gilbert Hamerton's very scarce "Etching and Etchers". Plate size: 6 5/8 x 5 5/8 inches (169 x 142 mm). This heliogravure has a platemark surrounding the image and has the appearance of an actual etching. Signed in the plate (not hand-signed).
