Condition: this lithograph was issued as a folded sheet and the crease on the left is pronounced (difficult to see in this photo but it is more obvious in real life) with holes along the crease from the binding stitches which have become enlarged with time and wear. The crease on the right has no holes but does have tape on back. The price is lower to account for the condition.

Many of the artists who had been regular contributors to DLM throughout its more than thirty years of publication, contributed original prints for this project. Among these were Chagall, Miro, Kelly, Chillida, Palazuelo, Garache, Adami, Fiedler, Ubac, Pol Bury, Alechinsky, Tal-Coat, Riopelle, Tapies, Bram van Velde and several others.

Derriere le Miroir was the legendary art revue published in Paris by Aime Maeght, from 1946 through 1982. Some of the artists who contributed original lithographs were Chagall, Miro, Braque, Giacometti, Kelly, Tapies, Riopelle, Pol Bury, Calder, Alechinsky, Ubac and Palazuelo. Often known by collectors simply as DLM, all issues of Derriere le Miroir are now scarce, and many have become quite valuable and highly prized.
