Medium: original etching. Catalogue reference L 9. This Samuel Palmer etching was published in London in 1868 for Hamerton's "Etching & Etchers", and printed on laid paper. Image size: 5 1/8 x 7 3/4 inches (130 x 195mm). Considered one of Palmer's finest compositions, and now quite scarce.
Condition: There is a tear in the top margin (not extending to the image), a stain in the left margin, creasing in the top margin and old tape residue on the back (in the margin).
