Medium: original woodcut. A lovely German Expressionist composition depicting two dancers. Catalogue reference: Hofmaier 228 B. Printed in Germany in 1922 for the rare Ganymed portfolio of "Das vierte Jahrbuch der Marees Gesellschaft", published by Marees-Gesellschaft, R. Piper & Co. and printed by Wolf & Sohn, of Munich. This impression is from the unsigned edition on laid paper. The image size is 7 1/8 x 4 inches (180 x 103 mm) and the full sheet measures 10 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches (275 x 195 mm). This work is in the permanent collection of MoMA (The Museum of Modern Art). Not signed.
