A fine impression on watermarked cream laid paper printed in 1880 for Philip Gilbert Hamerton's very scarce "Etching and Etchers", published in an edition of 1000. Initialed in the plate (not by hand). Plate size: 4 5/8 x 4 inches (123 x 102mm) with good margins. A small but quite beautiful composition. Samuel Palmer died in 1881, this is thus a lifetime impression.
