Printed on wove paper. Condition: there is discoloration to the paper along with some creasing and waviness. Signed in pencil by Sir Frank Short.

The larger version of this work was executed in 1899 (12 x 8 inches) and then cut down to this portion of the three boats for use in a rare 1911 book by Sir Frank Short (Etchings and Engravings). An edition of 550 was printed in 1911 and another of 500 in 1912; this impression on watermarked laid paper is from the 1912 edition, with full original margins. Plate size: 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches (88 x 88mm). Not signed.
