Medium: color pochoir. Printed in Paris for the Temoignages pour l'art abstrait project (Witnesses for Abstract Art), published in 1952 by Editions d'Art d'Aujourd'hui, in an edition of 1500. The sheet size, including margins: 9 3/8 x 7 3/4 inches (240 x 195mm). This is a splendid and richly inked impression on wove paper, and now quite rare. Not signed (the artist's name is printed in text beneath the image).
Richard Mortensen silkscreen "Tavignano"
Medium: serigraph / silkscreen. Published in 1964 by Galerie Denise Rene, of Paris, for the rare exhibition catalogue "Hard Edge". Richard Mortensen was one of several artists who contributed original silkscreens for this project (after their own paintings). It was printed by the Imprimerie Mazarine on a sheet of thin wove paper without margins, and then tipped onto a support sheet (attached along the top edge). Image size: 7 x 7 inches (190 x 190mm). Not signed.
