Medium: original lithograph. The French title of "Claude Renoir, Fils de l'Artiste, la Tête Baisée" translates to: "Claude Renoir, the Artist's Son, Looking Downwards". Catalogue references: Delteil 39 or Roger-Marx 14. A fine impression on Arches cream wove paper in excellent condition, printed in Paris by Clot and published in 1919 by Ambroise Vollard for the rare "Douze Lithographies Originales de Pierre-Auguste Renoir". Although the official edition was to have been 900, it is reported that approximately 1/3 of the impressions were never issued. Image size: 7 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches (198 x 190 mm); total sheet size 13 x 9 3/4 inches (330 x 250 mm). Signed in the plate with Renoir's stamped signature (not hand-signed). The photo shows the full sheet with deckle edges.

Medium: original etching and drypoint. Catalogue reference: Delteil 5. One of the young ladies at the beach is Julie Manet, who was Berthe Morisot's daughter and Edouard Manet's niece; the other was her cousin Jeanne. They also appear in other Renoir compositions.
Executed in 1892, this is a lifetime impression published in Paris in 1919 by H. Floury for the rare "Les Peintres Impressionistes" by Theodore Duret. Plate size: 5 7/16 x 3 3/4 inches (138 x 95 mm). A good impression with burr on cream wove paper, with only minor aging to the paper. Signed in the plate (not by hand). A good deal at this price!

Printed on cream laid paper with the Van Gelder Zonen watermark. Plate size: 7 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches (185 x 140 mm); total sheet size 12 1/2 x 9 5/8 inches (320 x 243 mm). Not signed. A good deal at this price!
