It is an exact rendition of the original, printed on watermarked Arches laid paper, in a limited edition of 550 issued in 1991. Plate size: 14 1/4 x 10 3/8 inches; sheet size: 22 x 16 inches. A very nice impression, as can be expected from Claude Tchou and the Bibliotheque Nationale. For the collector who cannot spend a small fortune on a first edition Mary Cassatt, this presents an affordable alternative.
Condition: there is a mat stain and the remains of old tape mounts in the margin near the edge of the sheet; also some foxing in the margin and a crease (the crease will really not be evident when properly matted).

This beautiful piece was etched by Auguste Lauzet after Mary Cassatt, and published in Paris in 1892 by Chamerot et Renouard, for the very rare volume "L'Art Impressionniste", featuring etchings after important in the private collection of M. Durand-Ruel, which was at the time was one of the world's foremost collections of Impressionist art. This print is a fine impression printed on cream laid paper, with a platemark (not shown here in this photo) and good margins; the plate measures 6 x 5 inches. Not signed. A nice find, with no others currently offered on the market.
