Medium: original lithograph. This very rare and beautiful lithograph by Henri Evenepoël was printed for L'Estampe Moderne (issue no. 7), published in Paris in 1897. The image size is 13 x 9 inches (330 x 230 mm) and the full sheet measures 16 x 12 inches (408 x 308 mm). Printed on smooth wove paper, this impression bears L'Estampe Moderne blindstamp at the lower right. Signed by Evenepoel in the stone, not hand-signed. Belgian artist Henri Evenepoel died of typhus at the young age of 27. His use of strong, bold color in this work prefigures the Fauvist art movement.

Condition: there are a few spots of foxing. Also, there is wear and a few tears to the edges of the sheet (see the additional photos).
