Erich Heckel Woodcuts

At AffordableArt101 we are pleased to offer a selection of Erich Heckel art for sale, in addition to works by other German Expressionist masters. Erich Heckel (1883-1970) was an important member of the "Die Brucke" group (the German word meaning "Bridge"); other artists associated with the group were Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Fritz Bleyl, Emil Nolde, Max Pechstein and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. These artists showed a great interest in primitivism. The Erich Heckel woodcuts here are a fine example of German Expressionism; of original prints which convey the power of nature, and the primitive.
