Medium: original etching and aquatint. Signed in pencil and annotated "epreuve d'artiste" (this being an artist's proof apart from the regular edition of 175). Catalogue reference: Schmucking 143. Executed in 1955, this is a magnificent example of Freidlaender's work of that period.

Plate size: 16 1/8 x 21 inches (410 x 530mm) with full original margins and deckle edges. Issued by L'Oeuvre Gravée, with the publisher's dry stamp. A fine impression with plate tone, in very good condition except for a minor mat stain and an old tape stain on the back (in the top margin, not affecting the etched image).
